Family Reach: Giving
Tuesday

  • #GivingTuesday is an annual giving day on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving that many nonprofits utilize as a recognizable fundraising campaign. Since I joined Family Reach in 2019, I have been part of the team building a #GivingTuesday campaign each year as a critical part of the organization’s end-of-year fundraising campaign, Hope for the Holidays.

Each year, Family Reach’s #GivingTuesday campaign includes:

    • Email marketing (samples) and social posts (example post) before, during, and after #GivingTuesday

    • Website content

    • Personal donor outreach via phone and email

    • Staff and board involvement

    • Corporate sponsorship pitch materials

  • Communications strategy, creative direction, content development, project management, team management, cross-department collaboration

  • #GivingTuesday is Family Reach’s biggest fundraising day of the year, with consistent year-over-year growth. In 2024, the #GivingTuesday campaign raised over $300,000 in 24 hours and converted 32% more donors than 2023.
